Recipe Roundup: Happy Thanksgiving and Gluten Free Menu Ideas

I missed our Canadian Thanksgiving because we were away on vacation. Have you seen my series on Cruising Gluten Free? I believe Cruising is one of the best ways to travel gluten free. Anyways, back to Thanksgiving…I think I will join you my American friends as you celebrate this holiday and if you’re still searching for gluten free menu ideas, I put together a little list from the Fox in the Kitchen Recipe Index.

Wide Happy Thanksgiving

Breakfast Ideas

Roasted Pumpkin Chai Smoothie

Lunch Ideas

  • Arugula Salad With Blood Orange And Roasted Beets
  • “Cream” of Caramelized Onion and Cauliflower Soup (Once you have all the ingredients, this soup is simple and comes together very quickly)
  • Crustless Quinoa Veggie Pie (One of the most popular recipes on the blog. Can be served as a side dish for dinner)
  • Pepita (Pumpkin Seed) Sandwich Bread with option for Dinner Buns (Holds together well and makes excellent turkey sandwiches)
  • Crustless Quinoa Veggie Pie

    Dinner Ideas

  • Mushroom and Hazelnut Pot Pie (Vegan)
  • Cornbread Dressing (Stuffing) And Roast Turkey Half (Feeding a small group? Did you know you could ask your grocer to cut a frozen turkey in half? Cook half now, save the other half for the next holiday dinner)
  • Roasted Cauliflower and Chickpeas
  • Turkey Meatballs With Caramelized Onion And Tomato Sauce (Want turkey but don’t feel like spending all day cooking a bird? These meatballs made with ground turkey are sooo good with the onion and tomato sauce)
  • Cornbread Dressing (Stuffing) And Roast Turkey Half

    Dessert Ideas

  • Almond Butter Baked Apples (Very simple recipe. These come together in minutes)
  • Roasted Chai Pumpkin Pie (A slight twist on a thanksgiving classic)
  • Coconut Cake (Moist, delicious and yet so easy. A real crowd pleaser)
  • Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes With Marshmallow Frosting (To make these more seasonal, I’m going to use cranberries instead of raspberries…love a cran/chocolate combo!)
  • Orange and Almond Cake (Flourless) (This cake would be even yummier with some added cranberries)
  • Orange and Almond Cake (Flourless)
